Is this it Matthew? Is the point of your life the pursuit of an old middle-eastern myth?

You believe Adam & Eve sired the entire human race, a talking snake changed the destiny of humanity, Jesus was born of a virgin and then became a zombie... and you even believe in demons and the devil!

You have the most powerful, one true God to inspire you, and all you can do is bleat old passages from a dusty book inspired by bronze-age goatherd tales. Oh, and then you moan at atheists because we don't take your incoherent ramblings seriously.

You've got to be one of those sad weirdos who preaches at busy shoppers on a Saturday morning, ignored by all. Do you live near Camberwell?

Surely Matthew, you and your all-powerful God can do better than this?

I agree with you Matthew, that quoting what Darwin said does not of itself constitute evidence. But he does tell us where to look for evidence in the world around us. Things we can see, things we can handle and analyse.

Atheists don't need to "wipe historical evidence off the map" because there isn't any. What you are talking about are historical myths and superstitions.

Richard W:

Your comment typically demonstrates the reasons why Atheists always come to the wrong conclusions. They can't even live up to their claim of using logic and reason for determining facts from fiction. You've made a mockery of your own beliefs, or lack thereof if you'd prefer me to be more politically correct.

Any sincere and unbiased seeker of truth will realise the Catholic Church are not based upon Scripture but are based upon paganism that stems from the religion of Mystery Babylon and the worship of sun-gods (such as Molech for one, archaeologically proven by the way). It's evident they are power hungry and wealth seeking that couldn't care less what the Scriptures have to say. If they actually cared one inch about Scripture they would have those pedophiles exterminated (killed) immediately. They clearly don't listen to the authority of Scripture. And plus for Atheists to claim only religious people are pedophiles is unfactual, because there are plenty of Humanists who murder, cause wars, rape, steal, lie (Dawkins claiming that only REAL scientists are Atheists), cheat, commit pedophilia, etc. It's pretty evident that Humanism (i.e. the USSR in the last century) has been just as evil as some religious folk. And also, the nature of the Catholic pedophiles demonstrates the accuracy in the prophecies discussing them, the Scriptures said they would turn from natural affections to unnatural affections. The Sciptures even call the religious system they created as the seat of Satan.

Atheists are no better than religious folk. You claim tolerance but are the most intolerant of all people, it wouldn't be a big leap for current day Atheists to turn to violence in order to exterminate religious folk.

Quedula:

What you said is like me say "quoting Darwin who lived over 150 years ago does NOT constitute evidence." Or even "Roman historians who lived 1900 years ago does NOT constitute evidence and cannot be used as secular evidence to prove the existence of Yahshua." Absolutely ridiculous! Can't you see the massive flaw in Atheistic thinking? Atheists make a mockery of themselves, quite ironic really.

We use ancient texts and archaeological evidence to determine and know history. Let's face it quedula, whether ancient or modern evidence challenges Atheism Atheists will do their utmost to discredit it or pretend it doesn't exist. If Atheists had their way they would completey wipe historical evidence off the map in order to fit their agenda.

God forewarned us that in this day and age there would be a rise in Humanism, and a voiceful and intolerant one at that. Very relevant to this day and age especially since it's an accurate account.

Matthew,

You seem to have a very strange idea of the meaning of "evidence". Quoting a 2000 year old text written by primitive, superstitious tribesmen does NOT constitute evidence.

I apologise if I am repeating what others on this blog have already said but it really is an incontrovertible fact.

Hurrah for the Bible, Matthew?

Such a shame your Bible couldn't predict that all those children would be abused by your God's own Christian representatives here on earth.

And such a shame your God couldn't lift a finger to help stop the suffering of those poor young victims, but instead allowed the perverted clergy to cover the abuse up for decades.

Yeah, so, let's hear it for your amazing Bible... and your all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful God.
